West Virginia  

Picture: The vibrant cardinal is West Virginia's state bird. The state flower is the colorful rhododendron.

These cards were sent by Delores who is a good friend and she has supplied lots of encouragement with regards to this project. She is based in Coalwood.

Picture: The longest single-span steel arch bridge in the world (1,700') and the second highest in the United States (876'), spans New River, one of the world's oldest rivers. This scenic, rugged section of the river has some of the East's finest whitewater, the epitome of all that is wild and wonderful in West Virginia.
